President's Message
I am pleased with the continued momentum Ironbridge Charity Group had in 2025 to support our mission of supporting organizations and individuals in need throughout the Perkiomen Valley area. We surpassed $130,000 in money raised and donated since our inception. We have also exceeded over 2,600 in volunteer hours and increased our total number of organizations or individuals assisted to twenty-one. We were pleased to add a new Board member in September, Mia Carpenter, who brings fresh ideas and energy to our group.
The Comedy Night Fundraiser in February was a great success. There were over 120 attendees that were treated to a lot of laughs from four great comedians. Please join us on February 28, 2026 for our next Comedy Night. It will once again be held at the Lower Frederick Fire Company. Doors open at 7:00pm and our comedians start at 8:00pm. Please visit our website for more detailed information on this upcoming event and payment information.
Our Pickleball Tournament in June brought in 30 teams with all levels of experience for competitive play in a fun atmosphere. Thank you to Forward Pickleball for hosting us indoors this year. A special thank you to all of our sponsors, players, and volunteers who helped to make this day a success.
Our largest event continues to be our Annual Golf Tournament in September. This year we raised over $18,000 for two great organizations, Daily Bread Community Food Pantry and the Sebastian Riding Associates. We had another beautiful day of golf with 80 golfers participating. The success of this event is truly dependent on our sponsors. This year we were so grateful for the increased support from our community sponsors.
Through our participation in the Perkiomen Valley Non-Profit Organizations meetings held quarterly and sponsored by the PV Chamber of Commerce, we have learned more about the needs in our community. We were so pleased to have representation from Senator Matt Bradford's office at our May meeting where we had 20 nonprofits participate. The discussion on obtaining PA State grant funding was timely and beneficial to all that attended.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to watch and learn how our Perkiomen Valley non-profit organizations, businesses, and individual volunteers come together to support those in need. We truly have a special community. If you would like to learn more on how you might be able to help, please do not hesitate to reach out. We will help you find the path.
On behalf of the Ironbridge Charity Group Board of Directors and our volunteers, we thank you for all of your support this year. We look forward to a great 2026 and hope to see you at our upcoming fundraising events.
We wish you all a very happy and safe holiday season with family and friends.
Sincerely,
Tom
