President's Message
This year has been a very active and rewarding year for Ironbridge Charity Group. Our work this year has helped us to exceed over $75,000 in donations and over 1,400 in volunteer hours to 12 local charities or individuals in need since our inception.
Our two main fundraising events were a great success this year. Our first ever Pickleball Tournament in June brought in over 80 players for a fun day of competitive play. Proceeds from the day went back into the community through donations to other non-profits and individuals in need throughout the Perkiomen Valley Community. Our Golf Outing in October raised over $17,000 to benefit the So Much to Give Inclusive Cafe and the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry. We are so grateful to all of the sponsors, donors and participants for these events.
Our volunteers continue to donate their time through weekly food delivery to the Food Pantry and helping with distribution monthly. They have also delivered holiday meals to local families throughout the year and worked with local businesses to collect toys for the annual Toy Drive.
We are pleased to have formed better relationships with other non-profits groups within the Perkiomen Valley area by meeting quarterly as a group. The dialogue has helped us to learn more about the needs in our community and how we can all, collectively, work together to make our community better.
Learning more about the great work so many of our local nonprofits are doing in our community inspires us to try to give more of our time and provide more financial assistance. Please visit our Join Us page if you would like to help us through volunteering or making a donation. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see how your contributions help our community.
On behalf of the Board of Ironbridge Charity Group, we wish everyone a healthy and happy holiday season filled with laughter and joy with friends and family.
Sincerely,
Tom
